The 2013 competition winners have been announced! Congratulations to all the underwater photographers who participated, and to the winners from around the world. The Our World Underwater competition has become one of the most prestigous international underwater imagery events, and over $40,000 of world-class prizes have been awarded, including a $1,000 cash prize to the Best of Show winner - Sam Cahir.
The prestigious DEEP Indonesia International Underwater Photo Competition is part of a unique series hosted by DivePhotoGuide & Wetpixel, in association with DEEP Indonesia, Indonesia’s first and premier diving, adventure travel and extreme sports expo. Photographers competed in seven themed categories to win over $40,000 in prizes, including underwater photo equipment and premium dive travel packages to some of the top photo destinations in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. Congratulations to Dale Sanders who won Best of Show for his 1st place image from the Reefscape category. This is the second time Dale has taken home the Best of Show award in the DEEP Indonesia contest, after winning it in 2008 as well.

It is with much excitement and honor that we present to you the winners of the first annual Wetpixeland DivePhotoGuide International Underwater Photography Competition. The two popular underwater imaging websites have teamed up to celebrate the beauty and delicacy of the marine environment by developing the first instance of a new, annual, international underwater photography competition. For our inaugural event, only digital entries were accepted, including both images taken from digital cameras or scanned from film.
